About Our Competitive Programs

NLC Dance Company is proud to offer teams for everyone in Season 3, including: 

Novice, Pre-Competitive & Competitive Teams 

Pre-Mini Team - Ages 3-6 - Novice

NLC Dance Company's Pre-Mini Team will be suited for dancers between the ages of 3-6 who are interested in taking their love for dance to the next level. Dancer's on this team should have at least 1 year of recreational dance experience and 0-1 years of competitive dance experience. 

Pre-Mini Team members will train in: RAD Ballet, Jazz, Tap & Technique classes. These dancers will train for a total of 3 hours per week, this 3 hours includes all group choreography. 

Dancers on NLC Dance Company's Pre-Mini Team will attend 4 mandatory competitions between February 2025-May 2025, as well as perform their dances in our Christmas & Year-End Showcase. Competitions are mandatory for all member's on the NLC Dance Company Pre-Mini Team.

Mini Team - Ages 4-7 - Pre-Competitive

NLC Dance Company's Mini Team will be suited for dancers between the ages of 4-7 who are invested in dance and ready to continue their training. Dancer's on this team should have 2-3 years of recreational dance experience or 1-2 years of competitive dance experience. 

Mini team members will train in: RAD Ballet, Jazz, Tap & Stretch/Strengthen classes. These dancers will train for a total of 4.25 hours per week, this 4.25 hours includes all group choreography.

Dancers on NLC Dance Company's Mini Team will attend 4 mandatory competitions and 1 optional competition between February 2025-May 2025, as well as perform their dances in our Christmas & Year-End Showcase. Competitions are mandatory for all member's on the NLC Dance Company Mini Team.

Pre-Junior/Junior Team - Ages 7-12 - Novice

NLC Dance Company's Pre-Junior/Junior Team will be suited for dancers between the ages of 7-12. This age bracket is a guideline as when dancer's get to older levels, their training is based on their ability first, age second. Dancer's considering this team should have 1-2 years of recreational dance experience and 0-1 years of competitive dance experience.

 Pre-Junior/Junior team members will train in: RAD Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Jumps/Turns & Stretch/Strengthen classes. These dancers will train for 4.5 hours per week, this 4.5 hours includes all group choreography. 

Dancers on NLC Dance Company's Pre-Junior/Junior Team will attend 4 mandatory competitions and 1 optional competition between February 2025-May 2025, as well as perform their dances in our Christmas & Year-End Showcase. Competitions are mandatory for all member's on the NLC Dance Company Pre-Junior/Junior Team.

Intermediate Team - Ages 10-15 - Pre-Competitive

NLC Dance Company's Intermediate Team will be suited for dancers between the ages of 10-15. This age bracket is a guideline as when dancer's get to older levels, their training is based on their ability first, age second. Dancer's considering this team should have 2-3 years of recreational dance experience and 1-3 years of competitive dance experience.

 Intermediate team members will train in: RAD Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Jumps/Turns & Stretch/Strengthen classes. These dancers will train for 5.5 hours per week, this 5.5 hours includes all group choreography. 

Dancers on NLC Dance Company's Intermediate will attend 4 mandatory competitions and 1 optional competition between February 2025-May 2025, as well as perform their dances in our Christmas & Year-End Showcase. Competitions are mandatory for all member's on the NLC Dance Company Intermediate Team

Senior Pre-Competitive Team - Ages 12+

NLC Dance Company's Pre-Competitive Senior Team will be suited for dancers age 12+. This age bracket is a guideline as when dancer's get to older levels, their training is based on their ability first, age second. Dancer's considering this team should have at least 2-3 years of competitive dance experience.

Pre-Competitive Senior team members will train in: RAD Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Jumps/Turns & Stretch/Strengthen classes. These dancers will train for 6 hours per week, this 6 hours includes all group choreography. 

Dancers on NLC Dance Company's Senior Pre-Competitive Team will attend 5 mandatory competitions between February 2025-May 2025, as well as perform their dances in our Christmas & Year-End Showcase. Competitions are mandatory for all member's on the NLC Dance Company Senior Pre-Competitive Team.

Senior Full-Time Competitive Team - Ages 12+

NLC Dance Company's Full-Time Competitive Senior Team will be suited for dancers age 12+. This age bracket is a guideline as when dancer's get to older levels, their training is based on their ability first, age second. Dancer's considering this team should have numerous years of competitive dance experience.

Full-Time Senior team members will train in: RAD Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Jumps/Turns & Stretch/Strengthen classes. These dancers will train for 8.75 hours per week, this 8.75 hours includes all group choreography. 

Dancers on NLC Dance Company's Senior Full-Time Competitive Team will attend 5 mandatory competitions between February 2025-May 2025, as well as perform their dances in our Christmas & Year-End Showcase. Competitions are mandatory for all member's on the NLC Dance Company Senior Full-Time Competitive Team.
